CRISTINA BETZ
As a visual journalist, I strive to discover unique subjects and build a relationship with them. Every person has a story to tell; the difficult part is developing a creative angle that captures the important moments. Photography is a way to communicate feelings and emotions. Oftentimes, pictures tell a story that no amount of words could ever express.
I was born in Saint Louis, Missouri, but I’ve lived in Roswell, Georgia, since I was 10 months old. I love to hike and usually spend most of my free time outdoors. Having family in Spain, I am no stranger to traveling. I have been to France, England, Italy and Belgium, and I would love to visit Ireland one day.
I started taking pictures at a young age, but I didn’t discover my true passion for photography until high school. I worked on my high school yearbook my junior and senior years. I loved photographing students and capturing those memorable, candid moments. I am currently attending Western Kentucky University studying photojournalism, entrepreneurship, and broadcasting.
